Mission: Turn the cashier of 1-2-3 Supermarket into a female mole and make it become a pediatrician… She was intended to become the protagonist of a series of 8 books.
Although the publisher loved the result (“I think it is definitely delightful“), Mrs Doctor Mole was not published ever. They finally preferred to carry out the series with human characters.
…Doc Mole went back to work at the Supermarket!
